Our love story began when I noticed Josh at an airport before boarding the plane for a girls' holiday! I hadn’t approached him, but we managed to bump into each other on the holiday. We enjoyed each other’s company and instantly became friends.

It wasn’t our time then, but two years later, we bumped into each other at a bar in London, and that was when I realized it was meant to be! I quickly realized Josh and I were like two peas in a pod, and this was the start of our magical journey. We became best friends, we loved spending time together, dancing all night long, listening to our favorite songs, and going for walks with our fur babies! I soon realized he was the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, and I patiently waited for him to ask that important question! Two and a half years later, Josh surprised me with a trip to Paris, to see Hans Zimmer in concert. Music is something we both share a love for. We had been on a couple of holidays that year, so I wasn’t expecting what was about to happen.

As we departed the train station, Josh was insistent on going to see the Eiffel Tower. He wanted to get a picture in front of it, so I followed him until he found the perfect spot. He asked some passers-by if they could take a picture of us and there it was, that magical moment every girl dreams of when they have found that special someone. Josh got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in front of the Eiffel tower; so romantic!

I admired his bravery, considering it was daylight and there were hundreds of tourists around. I was overjoyed and cried with happiness. I couldn’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him. The kind people taking the photo were just as amazed as I was! They came over to hug and congratulate us, a memory that will always stick with me, the first people to share our joy with us. We celebrated in Paris and made the most wonderful memories. I couldn’t wait to be his wife.

Arriving back home was exciting, as we celebrated with our family and friends. I didn’t hang around with the planning; I created the all-important Pinterest board, and we knew exactly how we wanted our dream wedding to be. The venue was very local to us. I had known about it and was desperate to see it.

It was our second venue we had seen, and I knew as soon as we were at the bottom of the long drive, this was where we would get married. I felt overwhelmed with happiness, and as we walked around I had a constant lump in my throat knowing I would marry the love of my life here! Josh absolutely loved it too, so the decision was an easy one to make! I couldn’t stop crying when we left because I felt so happy.

In a whirlwind of one year and two months, the day had finally arrived. It was the 31st of August, a beautiful sunny day, and I was saying "I do" with my best friend.

It’s hard to say which part was most memorable... when people tell you it’s the best day of your life, it really is! I loved every part of it from the night before with my Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids, waking up the next morning (after a few hours’ sleep), and being so excited with my best friends. Getting glammed up, listening to music, eating croissants, it was all so chilled and enjoyable, even to the day after our wedding at breakfast with all our loved ones and my husband.

One of my fondest memories was being sat at the window, whilst having my make-up done and watching our guests arrive, and then there he was: my husband-to-be, and WOW, he looked SO handsome!!! I was sneakily peering out so he couldn’t see me. I felt so emotional at this point, I couldn’t believe how lucky I was.

Once I had my beautiful dress on (another highlight of the day), my Mum, Nan, and Dad followed into the room and seeing their proud smiles was unforgettable. One of my favorite parts of the day (one of many) was walking down the aisle to our favorite song – "Kissing You" by Des’ree, and seeing Josh’s face, his beaming smile, so happy and full of emotion. I couldn’t wait to reach the end and hold his hand.

Another unforgettable memory was shortly after the ceremony. We walked out to be congratulated by everyone we loved, and walked down the steps to be collected by my friends’ horse and carriage, a kind gesture from them to make our day even more magical. We had a ride down the drive and a private moment to ourselves, just the two of us. Moments after we got back, our fur babies arrived. Seeing their waggy bums absolutely made our day! My love for animals is HUGE. I’ve always had horses and dogs in my life, so to have them there on our special day meant so much to us both.

For me, finding a dress wasn’t the easiest part of planning our wedding. I loved the excitement leading up to going to a dress shop, and taking along my mum and friends. I enjoyed trying on all the lovely dresses, but there was always something missing with the dresses I tried.

I had originally chosen a plain high neck fitted dress, however, I carried on looking. I found myself admiring the Enzoani dresses most days online and I said to my mum, we have to go and try this designer, the dresses look stunning. The Juri dress was the second dress I tried out of the Enzoani collection. I instantly fell in love, I felt a million dollars! I remember my cheeks aching due to the huge grin I had because I knew it was the one for me – I didn’t want to take it off!

I fell in love with the exquisite detail on the Juri dress, the stunning lace, the diamanté straps, the incredible train, the beautiful low back, the unique cut and design of the bodice, the sculpted fit, it was everything and more than I could have wished for my wedding dress to be. I couldn’t stop thinking about it and was always admiring the pictures of it. I went back to try the dress for a second time, and I just LOVED IT.

I said yes to the dress, and what a delightful memory that is, a feeling I will never forget! Choosing my veil was easy. I wanted the lace to match my dress, so this was added to the bottom of the veil, which swooped past my elegant train, and emphasized the sheer beauty of my dress. I never realized a dress could make you feel so special!

I literally couldn’t wait to put it on, and to have that excitement for eight months feels pretty amazing. Most wedding dresses I didn’t feel myself in, as it’s not something you are used to wearing, but I felt like the Juri dress was ME 1000%. I wanted to feel classy and elegant, but I didn’t want something plain and to be totally covered.

I wanted Josh to look at me and think, wow, and wearing this dress made me feel that way. I couldn’t wait for him to see me in it! The Juri was everything. It made me feel confident and glamorous on the day, and lots of people commented on how beautiful it was. I was so thankful to have found such an amazing dress.
