#EnzoaniRealBride: Nia + Matthew
Love is in the details
On an idyllic summer's day in June 2018, the Enzoani family celebrated the union of our very own Enzoani UK seamstress, Nia, to her lovely husband, Matthew. The ceremony and reception took place in a charmingly rustic farm in the picturesque Welsh countryside with close friends and family. Read on to see more of Nia and Matthew's big day and discover how Nia found her dream Enzoani dress!
THE LOVE STORY
Nia and Matthew’s love story began with something as simple as mince pies at Christmas. Now, they have a house together, an adorable son named William, and they've tied the knot at Rosedew Farm in the scenic countryside of Llantwit Major, Wales.

“After realizing that we had the same taste in music, our first date was just before Christmas, playing the pub quiz and winning some mince pies. We already sort of knew each other from school and had some of the same friends, so it was easy for us to get along. So much so, it was funny to think how we hadn’t been friends before.”

As Nia and Matthew had first bonded over their love of music, it only seems appropriate that Matthew proposed to Nia whilst at a festival. ”We bought our first house together, and a year later, Matthew proposed at the Isle of Wight festival on our way to the main stage! After having our son William in 2016, we had our perfect little page boy for the wedding, who ended up sleeping through the entire ceremony and missed his parents getting married!”

Every decorative detail seems perfectly in tune with Nia’s wedding day theme of 'Wildflower Romance,' from the rustic style bows and bunting, to the delicate gypsophila flowers wrapped around the wedding cake and cute packets of wildflower seeds gifted to their guests. It’s clear that it’s the small details which mean the most to Nia...
THE DRESS
“I’ve always loved sleeves and knew I’d want some for myself. I nearly chose the Kate dress before I tried on the Leah and preferred the structure and support."

“I loved how the lace motifs looked natural on the skin and the low illusion back. Being a seamstress, I altered the dress myself, added some extra motifs across my collarbone and changed the buttons for more sparkly ones! I also made my veil.”
FAVOURITE MOMENT OF THE DAY?
“There’s a lot to think about on your wedding day and a lot to take in but, for me, it was the speeches. I was worried because the men were so nervous, but the speeches were all very touching and I was very proud of them.”

ADVICE TO OTHER BRIDES?
“I’d recommend having a videographer. It’s lovely to have photographs, but to be able to watch it all again is priceless. And not everything is going to go to plan on the day, so don’t panic!”
