#EnzoaniRealBride: Cassidy + Vince

Summer Vintage

Nestled in Deer Park, Washington, Cassidy and Vince tie the knot at Lavender Manor. Set during a sweet summer, the wedding saw the newlywed couple's close friends and family join them for a beautiful celebration surrounded by gorgeous, tall pine trees. We're feeling some serious vintage vibes from our Enzoani Real Bride.

My husband, Vince, and I met towards the end of our freshman year in college at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. To be honest, I did not think he was “my type” when we first met…now, I don’t even believe in “types,”...but we started to hang out with a big group of friends and finally started dating a few months later.

Our 4-year dating relationship consisted of plenty of long-distance spans while growing both individually as young adults, but also together. Right after we graduated from college in 2016, he moved back to the Seattle area while I stayed in Spokane. A lot of people told us we were crazy for doing so, but I truly believe that year was pivotal for us in realizing how much we both meant to each other, after facing seasons of doubt and trials.

Vince and I are quite opposite in many ways – he is tall, extroverted, musically gifted, and great at being present in the moment with whoever he is with and wherever he is at. I, on the other hand, am average height, more introverted, moving a million miles an hour at (mostly) all times, and am more athletically inclined.

But these differences are truly what brings us closer together and have grown us the most over the 6 years of knowing, dating, and being married to each other. At the heart of our relationship and marriage, we both strive to live our lives for the Lord, seek to serve others, find excitement in road trips, and adventure to newfound places.

Vince is home to me, and I can’t wait to keep growing and experiencing all the Lord has for us in our days to come as husband and wife.

My favorite wedding day memory is most definitely seeing all of our people in one place. Both of us grew up in separate towns but also share a similar community of friends from our college-age years. It was truly beautiful to be able to celebrate the Lord’s faithfulness and goodness with so many people who have been a part of our journey in so many different ways.

It wouldn’t have been the same celebrating without everyone!

Also - having an ice cream truck for dessert was a huge hit :)

Advice to other brides?

Don’t overthink things like I did - yes, it was a very special day because I knew all of the little things that I did that I thought people would notice and appreciate, but in the end, it all truly didn’t matter. What matters is preparing your heart, both you and your fiance’s, for the commitment that will be made on that day. In the end, the day and the event are great and memorable, but it’s the commitment, and the preparation beforehand, that truly matters. Don’t let expectations or having an “Instagram-perfect” wedding get ahold of you.

Make the day your own - don’t be fearful to push out of the “norm” and tweak things to fit you and your fiance’s style.

THE DRESS! Give us the details.

I wanted something elegant, lacy, no beads/sparkle, not too long of a train but still a small one, and one I could dance in, of course :)

I knew our entire wedding would be outside - from our ceremony in the forest (with a dirt aisle) and the reception on cement and grass, so I wanted a dress that would match our natural setting, but at the same time still be elegant.

I chose the gorgeous gown I did because I just felt like “me” in it. Not too much, not too little, but just me for who I am at my core.

Marriage is a beautiful gift full of highs and lows, joy and sadness, growth and challenges, memories and grief. No one is perfect, but having that one person alongside you for it all is about as perfect as it gets here on Earth.
