"Choosing my wedding dress was the final piece of a journey that began long before I ever stepped into a bridal boutique. My fiancé and I knew we wanted to decide where we would get married before choosing anything else, letting the location guide the tone, fashion, and design of the day. We considered Ireland, Italy, Portugal, and Toronto, but ultimately chose Toronto so our international family and friends could experience the city where we first met and where we’re now building our life together."

The Love Story:

"Nearly seven years ago, our story began in a cozy Italian restaurant in Toronto. What was meant to be a simple drink turned into dinner, long conversation, and an instant connection we didn’t expect but felt immediately. From that night on, our relationship unfolded naturally, shaped by shared adventures, endless laughter, and countless pints of Guinness enjoyed side by side.

As our love grew, so did our sense of curiosity and adventure. We discovered early on that our favorite moments were often the simplest ones: long walks, great food, meaningful conversations, and dreaming about what might come next. We learned that we’re at our best when navigating life together.

During the pandemic, we took a leap of faith and moved overseas to London, UK! What could have been an uncertain chapter became one of the most defining periods of our lives. London quickly felt like home, offering historic streets to wander, fashion that was to die for, neighborhood cafés to return to, and endless opportunities to explore. From spontaneous weekend trips across the UK to road trips throughout Europe, those years deepened our bond and shaped who we are as a couple, helping us brand our relationship as 'FJ Adventures' to our friends & family."

"London also became a place of reflection. It was where we talked endlessly about our future, our ambitions, and the life we were building together. Years later, on a return trip, Farrell brought us back to our old neighborhood and to a familiar bench just down the street where we used to sit with coffee, contemplating our next adventure. In that meaningful, deeply personal place, he proposed, a moment that felt perfectly intimate and true to us.

We ultimately chose to marry in Toronto, the city where we first met and now call home once again. After exploring countless venues, we found the Windsor Arms Hotel which had a setting in the luxurious heart of Yorkville that perfectly captured our love of European elegance blended with city chic. Once the venue was set, every design decision followed naturally, including my dress.

The Enzoani Udelia gown was an instant yes. Its transformative design, dramatic overskirt, structured corset, and romantic detailing felt like a reflection of my personal style and our journey together—timeless, feminine, and quietly powerful. Most Memorable:

"My favorite moment of our wedding day wasn’t just one moment...it was the instant all the pressure disappeared.

Leading up to the wedding, Farrell and I were incredibly nervous. The day represented so much: a significant financial investment, a full entire year of planning, and the knowledge that so many of our family and friends had traveled from around the world just to celebrate us. The weight of wanting everything to be perfect felt heavy. We even made a pact that once we got through the first dance, we’d officially be 'in the clear' and could finally relax and enjoy ourselves.

What I didn’t expect was that we'd enter that moment way sooner than we had planned!

Once the big day came, the moment I began walking down the aisle, everything relaxed. I saw Farrell waiting for me at the end along with a room filled with smiling faces, every person we love, all in one place. In that instant, the nerves melted away completely. From there on, the day flowed effortlessly. Despite all the warnings that something would inevitably go wrong, everything unfolded smoothly. We truly lucked out!

One of my other favorite moments was our reception entrance. Farrell, the groomsmen, bridal party, and I burst into the reception room to the song 'This Girl' by Kungs, and the energy in the room was electric. Everyone was already on their feet, cheering us on, and the celebration kicked off far earlier than I ever imagined. Even the speeches felt joyful, light, and full of love.

It truly was the best day of our lives, made unforgettable by the love in the room, which carried us through every moment and turned our nerves into pure joy."

Other Information:

"I just wanted to share how lovely the quality of my wedding dress was. I tried on a few Enzoani dresses before choosing the Udelia, and the quality was impeccable. It was not even comparable to some of the other designer dresses I tried in this price point. What shocked me most was that my seamstress who works daily with other designer dresses said the quality of this was amazing and unlike some that she has been seeing in recent years."

Advice to other brides?

"My advice to other brides would be to relax.
I felt I was quite relaxed throughout the year of planning, but with moments of high stress which I am slowly starting to forget (lol). In the end, I'd say make sure you work hard to plan the day as best you can so that you can sit back and enjoy it. Both my fiance and I agreed afterwards that hiring our wedding planner for Partial Wedding Planning services (3 months) before was one of the best items we spent a lot of money on. Although I spent the year gathering all our vendors, once the planner took over a few months before the wedding, she did all the coordination with them on timing, and I could take a step back. Not to mention how helpful she was on the actual day of the wedding.
Between her and the venue coordinator, every angle of the wedding was covered from setup to timing to cleanup. I hope all you future brides enjoy this and remember that from a past bride to a new bride, this is YOURS and your fiance's day that only comes once, so make sure you plan how you need to to make it feel effortless (even if a lot of work went into it befrorehand)."
