Jack and I met in 2016. I lived in Spain and was only 17 (he was 23) and even though we felt something I was too young and he lived in the UK. Fast forward to 2017 and we met again (once again when he was abroad for the summer) and we fell in love and spent the summer together. We did three years of long distance, with him in the UK at university and me in Spain doing my studies. At the end of his degree we moved to Manchester together and spent a year trying to find our paths. We then moved to London in 2019 and lived day by day in a hotel until we landed in two jobs we love. We still do long distance as Jack works away offshore and I only see him every 4 weeks, so it is really difficult but he has been the most incredible and supportive partner. We bought our first house together just over a year ago and Jack popped the question at sunset on Friday 7th July 2023. I am still on cloud nine and can’t wait to marry the love of my life.
