Back in my home country of New Zealand, I met Ryan by chance at a party of a mutual friend. We got chatting & I noticed he had an accent - he told me he was from London, currently on a work visa in NZ. I was immediately excited and told him I was half British - something we had in common. We continued chatting & he asked me where my other half of my family was from. “Thailand”, I said. He gave me this weird look and said “I was born in Thailand” and we were both taken aback and stared at eachother in disbelief. I asked if he was joking & after insisting it was the truth, I believed him. It sounds so odd but at that moment, something clicked in me & I knew there was a special reason I stumbled across this person. It was like we had known each other in a past life. When I told my Mum about this she immediately said “it’s fate. It’s your Dad looking out for you from heaven”
Fast forward to now, 4 years later, living in the UK & currently planning our dream wedding in Thailand.
