For Petra and Andrew, one fateful summer night in a bar was the start of a magical romance -- one that spanned overseas, stood the test of time and created the strongest of bonds. Fast forward a few years later, and Petra and Andrew decided to make it official in breathtaking Prague with a stunningly elegant wedding...almost as stunning as Petra in her Enzoani Juliana gown! Read on to see how Petra and Andrew celebrated their beautiful love (and looked absolutely perfect doing so)!

THE DRESS

"Even as a little girl, I was dreaming about my wedding dress. I tried over a hundred dresses, different styles, materials, and colours, and still could not find 'The One.' There was still something missing. I was looking for an elegant, lacy gown which would stand out, something modern yet traditional. One afternoon, walking through the city, I stumbled across this small wedding boutique, JS Couture. The moment I tried on the beautiful and timeless Juliana gown from the Enzoani collection, I knew I found what I was looking for, and for the first time ever, I felt like a bride.

The gown enchanted me with its simplicity and elegance. I felt that wearing this dress, I wouold stand out. I didn’t feel like any ordinary bride; I felt unique and special. I loved the delicate lace and light fabric which allowed me to dance through the night, the long train which looked absolutely magnificent during the ceremony, and the detailed embroidered crystals which added extra va-va-voom to the dress."

THE LOVE STORY

"Whilst on summer holidays in London with my girls, I first met Andrew in a quintessentially English bar in Mayfair. When he came over with his warm smile, I knew straight away that it was worth getting to know this guy! My intuition didn’t fail me, and we fell in love soon after. Our love forged the strongest of bonds; even the long distance relationship that followed for 18 months, whilst I finished my degree back home, seemed like a walk in the park!"

"I then relocated to London to be with Andrew. It was the easiest decision of my life! A couple of years later, during one of our weekends away, Andrew seemed even more excited than usual about our trip to Norway. At the time I couldn’t quite figure it out, but on that Saturday afternoon, whilst we were all alone at an amazing lookout to a beautiful fjord straddled by mountains, he dropped a knee and proposed! It was the happiest moment of my life...until our wedding day!"

THE WEDDING DAY

"Our decision was to have a small and intimate traditional wedding in my hometown of Prague. With Andrew being an Australian, it was simply glorious to have his family and closest friends make it all the way from Sydney! Meanwhile, to organize a wedding in Prague whilst living in London was quite a challenge, but I loved every bit of it!"

"The elegant and romantic color palette of white, cream, pink and light green worked perfectly with the Basilica and Chateau’s interior – the location for our wedding reception. The theme was a combination of simplicity and elegance which carried on through my Enzoani gown, embroidered with delicate lace and decorated with beautiful crystals.

"I will never forget the look my grandfather had on his face and how emotional he was when he saw me in my gown for the very first time. It was the most precious moment, and I will remember it forever."

"The sunny weather on our special day couldn’t have been more perfect, and we felt like the luckiest newlyweds ever. Our ceremony was at one of Prague’s most oldest and iconic landmarks, the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. It was pure excitement to be getting married at the same place as celebrities!"

"Our reception was at a beautiful Chateau not far from the Cathedral. We were very pleased about how everyone enjoyed the drinks and canapes on the large terrace overlooking the massive and vibrant French Gardens. Following the delicious dinner and emotional speeches, our best friends simply let it all out, and we had the best party ever!"

"The best part of our day was to see our friends and family having great time - laughing, dancing, bonding with each other. Two families became one, and we could not be happier."

MY ADVICE...

"Find a moment for yourself and relax. I know how the preparation can be stressful and hectic, and I experienced it myself. There will be things which won't go according to plan, but you should just relax and enjoy yourself. It's a once-in-a-lifetime (hopefully!) experience and it won't repeat."
