Meet Enzoani Designer KC at TDR Bridal: An Exclusive Enzoani Insider Weekend

Discover Enzoani wedding dresses in an unforgettable bridal experience as TDR Bridal welcomes Enzoani Artistic Director and Designer Kang Chun “KC” Lin for an exclusive two-day event.

1. Tell us a little about your store - how did your bridal journey begin, and when did you first become a stockist of Enzoani?

"TDR began back in 2007, when Rebecca opened the doors to what was then The Dressing Rooms in Halesowen. Rebecca started her career in floristry, before moving into retail and running her own garden centre, so the creative side of what we do has always been there. But it was the people, and being part of such an important moment in someone’s life, that really drew Bec into bridal.

So much has changed since those early days. We’ve grown, our team has grown and the TDR experience has evolved, but the reason we’re here has stayed the same. We want every bride who walks through our doors to feel welcome, looked after and completely themselves.

We first became an Enzoani stockist in 2008, so this year marks more than a decade of working together. We’ve watched the collections evolve and have grown alongside the brand, and we’re incredibly proud to now be a Diamond UK stockist.

It’s a relationship that means a lot to us, which is why having KC join us at TDR feels like such a special moment."

2. What makes your store unique, and what can a bride expect when she steps through your doors?

"For us, it has always been about more than the dress.

We want a bride to walk through our doors and feel like they can relax, be themselves and enjoy the experience. Every bride has their own private suite and a two-hour VIP appointment with a dedicated TDR stylist, so there’s plenty of time to try things on, talk, laugh and hopefully fall in love with their dream wedding dress.

We’ve put so much thought into the little things too, the space, the welcome, the drinks, the 'I’ve found the one' gifts and all those little TDR touches that make an appointment with us feel like so much more than simply trying wedding dresses.

But honestly, it’s our team that makes TDR what it is. We really care about our brides and the experience they have with us.

3. You’re hosting a very special Enzoani event with the brand’s Artistic Director, KC - what can brides expect from this exclusive experience?

"This is something we’re incredibly excited about because it’s something that has never been done in the UK before. On 10 and 11 October, KC, Enzoani’s Artistic Director and Designer, will be joining us at TDR for our exclusive Enzoani Insider Weekend.

Brides will have the opportunity to meet KC, explore the Enzoani collection and talk to him about the gowns, the inspiration behind them and all those beautiful details that make an Enzoani dress what it is. And, of course, it’s still a TDR appointment. Brides will have their own private bridal suite, dedicated stylist and all the little touches we have become famous for - there’ll just be a little extra Enzoani magic in the room.

Every bride who says yes to their Enzoani gown that weekend will get 10% off their gown, plus some exclusive limited-edition TDR Bridal x Enzoani gifts to make the experience something our Enzoani brides can remember long after their appointment. We’ve even created a signature KC cocktail for the weekend to celebrate him being with us!"

4. What inspired you to host this event, and what are you most looking forward to?

"We’ve been working with Enzoani for over ten years, so when the conversation between KC and Rebecca sparked at Barcelona Fashion Week back in April, we knew we had to make this weekend happen. Rebecca has known KC for many years, and over that time their relationship has grown into a genuine friendship built around their shared love of bridal and what they do. This makes welcoming KC to TDR feel very personal for us, rather than simply being another designer event. What we are most looking forward to is seeing that relationship come to life in the boutique and being able to share it with our brides. Oh and, of course, seeing the reactions when a bride finds her Enzoani dress. Those are the moments we never get tired of!"

5. Having KC in store is a unique opportunity for brides. What do you think makes this experience so special?

"It’s the fact that you get to meet the person behind the dress.

You might fall in love with an Enzoani gown because of the silhouette, the lace or the way it makes you feel when you put it on. But imagine being able to turn around and talk to the person who imagined that gown before it ever existed.

KC has been designing bridalwear for more than 20 years, so he has an incredible understanding of how a gown comes together and, just as importantly, how a bride should feel when they wear it.

Being able to ask him about the inspiration, the details or even what he was thinking when he designed something makes the experience completely different.

It really is one of those once-in-a-lifetime bridal moments. KC will also be sketching a hand-drawn sketch for every bride that says yes to an Enzoani dress that weekend which is a beautiful keepsake to treasure."

6. Is there a particular Enzoani gown or detail from the collection that you’re especially excited for brides to discover during the event?

"It’s so difficult to choose just one!

One of the things we love about Enzoani is the detail. You can see a gown on the hanger and think you know what you’re looking at, but then a bride puts it on and suddenly you notice the way the fabric moves, the structure, the lace, the back or a little detail you hadn’t spotted before.

That’s what we want brides to experience during the weekend, not just seeing the Enzoani collection, but really discovering it. There’s something rather lovely about not knowing which dress is going to be the one. Sometimes it’s the gown you arrive asking to try, and sometimes it’s the one your stylist pulls that you would never have chosen for yourself."

7. What would you recommend brides do before attending an Enzoani event like this, and how can they make the most of their appointment?

"Have a look at Enzoani beforehand if you’d like to and save the gowns that catch your eye, but don’t feel like you need to have your wedding dress all worked out before you arrive.

Come with an open mind. Tell us what you love, what you don’t, how you want to feel in your dress and anything you’re unsure about. That gives your stylist so much more to work with.

Bring the people with you that will make the experience feel good for you - this is your wedding dress moment, so you want people around you who are going to enjoy it with you.

Most importantly, don’t put pressure on yourself. You don’t need to know what suits you, which silhouette you want or how you’re supposed to choose a wedding dress. That’s our job.

Just come, relax and enjoy it."

8. What do you love most about working with Enzoani, and why do you feel the brand is such a great fit for your brides?

"The gowns, obviously! But it’s so much more than that.

We love the way Enzoani combines beautiful, modern design with timeless bridal. There’s something really special about the gowns - they feel confident, elegant and individual, but they still allow a bride to feel like themselves.

We also love the relationship we have with the Enzoani team. After more than ten years of working together, they genuinely feel like part of the TDR family and together we have such a shared passion for giving brides an amazing experience. That’s probably why the relationship has worked so well for so long."

9. Finally, what would you say to a bride considering booking an appointment for this exclusive Enzoani experience?

"If you’ve ever looked at an Enzoani gown and thought, 'That could be my dress,' this is the weekend for you.
