A Day at the Old LA Zoo with Bestselling Styles

On the edge of glamorous Los Angeles, the historic (and now abandoned) Griffith Park Zoo became the perfect, unconventional setting to showcase some of our most popular Enzoani and Blue by Enzoani wedding dresses. With the talents of photographer Jay Jay of Jay Jay Studios and hair/makeup/model Linda Chiriac of Beauty by Linda Chiriac, the styled photo shoot created absolutely gorgeous results. What tips would you provide a bride for picking out a hairstylist/makeup artist?

Hair/Makeup/Model Linda Chiriac: "Every individual is different when it comes to their approach regarding their super special day... some brides do a minimum of 3 to 4 trials with different makeup artists/hairstylists to figure out what it is they truly are looking for when it comes to a makeup and/or hairstyle look... others book with me a year in advance without ever doing a trial and it's literally like a blind date for the bride and me on the wedding day."

What was your favorite Enzoani gown to shoot?

Photographer Jay Jay Studios: "The last one we shot with the 'wings,' the Jasmine gown [above]! It's a different approach and style to the typical wedding dress."

Hair/Makeup/Model Linda Chiriac: "I always say to my brides to stick to what it is they truly like and makes them feel good! Not what everyone around them likes... but what they envision! It's also important to have an open line of communication with your glam team... to feel you can express what you're looking for and for your makeup artist/hairstylist to be able to make suggestions in return and just be able to have fun with it all to create an amazing experience together!"

What is your process like for setting up/styling a photo or photo shoot?

Photographer Jay Jay Studios: "I approach every shoot as if it's an actual wedding and she's the bride. I want to make sure the images give the feel of a real bride at the same time focusing on the details on the gowns."

Any general advice you would provide a bride for getting ready on her wedding day?

Hair/Makeup/Model Linda Chiriac: "Have fun with the whole process! It's your day to feel pampered, look and feel amazing! Take a couple of deep breaths, smile, and let it all unfold.... however it may! So much planning has been done leading up this special day, I love when I see brides sit back and enjoy every minute of their amazing day with a huge smile on their face!"

What's your favorite part of the styling process?

Hair/Makeup/Model Linda Chiriac: "I absolutely love seeing the final look when the bride puts on her wedding dress! I always say you can't have amazing makeup without amazing hair topped off with the bridal gown. I love seeing those three components come together... the bride now looks and feels like a bride! And it's hard not to feel/see the ecstatic happiness that the bride exudes when her look is complete....and is ready to marry her love! It's always so magical for me!"

How is it different styling yourself for a photo shoot versus styling a bride?

Hair/Makeup/Model Linda Chiriac: "Oh, it's totally different! As a makeup artist and hairstylist, it brings me the utmost joy knowing that I've been a part of a bride's journey .. and something as special as how she looks and entrusting me with the whole process and seeing her beaming because she loves the way she looks just adds an ineffable component that doesn't exist when I glam myself with hair and makeup for a shoot. It's very intimate when working with a bride... listening to all of her concerns and executing what her vision is creates a special drive for me to deliver impeccably!"
