Tell us your love story...
"My husband Andrew and I are high school sweethearts. We went to rival schools in a small town. I always knew of him and had a slight crush of course, but had yet to be introduced. I eventually asked one of my friends who knew Andrew to invite him and a few others to go skiing at a local resort in Michigan. One thing I knew we both had in common is our love for snowboarding. We all met up after school, and being 16, you have to get crafty. My friend and I scoped out the chair lift line and made a plan so that Andrew and I would get to go on the chairlift together and I could get a chance to talk to him. Our plan was executed perfectly, and Andrew and I made it on the chair lift together. We immediately started chatting and hit it off. I remember every time our eyes met, it felt like I had known him before, I had never felt something like this. However, the chair lift that we were on got stuck halfway through our ride. The three minute chair lift ride eventually turned into 15 minutes. After talking and joking for what felt like only 30 seconds, he asked me what I was doing next weekend, and from there we went on our first date. We had only been dating for a little over a year when I told him my vision of a winter ski themed wedding, and he of course loved it. Our story has been filled with adventure. Andrew is kind, honest, patient, and the best man I have ever known.
Seven years later he proposed to me on a ski trip in Breckenridge, Colorado and we had our dream winter wedding at a small ski resort in Michigan. After we said 'I do,' Andrew and I slipped off to take our first snowboard run (Naroza gown and all) as husband and wife, just like how we met so many years ago."
