We met when we were 15 (Laura) and 17 (David), we’re now 30 and 32!

Our friends were dating and we’d both been dragged along unknowingly to their casual hook up. Left alone with a vague introduction, we sat at opposite ends of the sofa. David attempted some small talk but I was too shy to talk to the good looking stranger!

Months passed and we met again at a birthday party where my mum spotted David looking at me from across the dance floor, and proceeded to remind me that prom was approaching and I was yet to find a date, “what about that handsome lad eyeing you up”. That night we danced, over the next few months we got to know each other, fell in love, had a blast at prom, and the rest is history!

Fast forward 10 years, some time apart “becoming adults”, many joyous remarks of “we knew you’d get back together”, surviving lockdowns together, and here we are owning our first home together, proud dog parents, and planning the wedding we spoke about so many times as teenagers!
