Enzoani UK Logistics Manager Matthew Weds Longtime Love Ffion in a Beautiful Rustic Ceremony

In October 2016, the Enzoani family had great cause for celebration with the wedding of our very own UK Logistics Manager, Matthew, to his gorgeous bride, Ffion. The longtime loves made it official in front of family and friends in a stunning, rustic ceremony held at The Corran Resort and Spa in picturesque Laugharne, Wales. Read on to find out more about how Ffion chose her Enzoani Isla lace wedding dress -- and how Matthew reacted on the big day!

THE DRESS

Ffion: I was lucky enough to have an amazing morning trying on dresses at the Enzoani offices in Swansea, and I had already fallen in love with the dress on the website. It was the second of about 15 dresses I tried on that day, but I knew it was the one I had to have as soon as I put it on.

Matthew: As a Logistics Manager for Enzoani, technically the first time I saw Ffion's dress, it was hanging in our warehouse and I'd packed maybe 30 of them to send to stores in the past. But obviously those dresses didn't look half as good as when I saw Ffion walking down the aisle in hers on the day. She looked so beautiful in it, I had to look away to stop myself from crying.

THE LOVE STORY

We met in 6th form when we were both 16, and after a couple of months of getting to know each other, we were pretty inseparable. We fell for each other very quickly, and after 5 months together, we went on our first holiday to Greece. After school finished, we both decided to go to Cardiff for University, and we were so happy we could both move to the same city to study. We lived in separate campuses, but after only a few weeks at uni, I had basically moved into Ffion's tiny room and set up camp there for the first year. We made some of our best memories while living in Cardiff and met some of our best friends there, which we were lucky enough to have most of them at our wedding to celebrate with us too.

Shortly after graduating, we moved into Ffion's parents' house where we shared the loft together. It was in this loft that I proposed to Ffion after arranging for her friends to decorate it in fairy lights and candles which caught her completely off-guard. We had a long engagement during which we moved into our own house and travelled around Europe and Thailand. After 9 and a half years together, we finally tied the knot in a wedding that can only be described as one big party. It was an amazing day from start to finish and was exactly what we both had imagined and much more! We had an amazing honeymoon where we travelled around Cambodia for 3 weeks and can't wait to plan more adventures together...

THE WEDDING DAY // MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS

Our favourite memory of the day happened towards the end of the night just as the photographer was packing his equipment away. The band started to play one of our favourite Mumford and Sons songs, and the dance floor was packed full of our friends and family. One of my friends lifted me onto his shoulders and then someone else did the same to Ffion - then we were dancing and singing on their shoulders in the middle of the dance floor, surrounded by all of our favourite people.

Luckily, the photographer managed to get his camera back out just in time to capture this moment, it was the perfect moment to end the perfect day.

ADVICE FROM THE BRIDE:

Relax, have fun and don't worry about everyone else! We had so much fun planning the wedding together and making it personal to us that the day itself was no stress at all. If something did go wrong, then I was completely oblivious to it because I was too busy enjoying myself!

ADVICE FROM THE GROOM:

From personal experience, I managed to stay relaxed through not overthinking and by having my closest friends and family around me prior to the big moment. I advise a few drinks (but not too many) and to just enjoy the moment while it lasts.
