Tell us a little bit about your store's background and how you came to partner with Bridal Collective.
"Dion for Brides has been a premier destination for Perth brides for over 30 years, and we were so excited to partner with Bridal Collective 10 years ago. I became Director of Dion for Brides in 2017, and I love everything about the bridal industry.
I love curating our collection from the world’s premier bridal designers to ensure we have the most incredible selection of gowns in Perth. Of course, the best part is helping our clients find their dream gown. I also love working with our passionate team of Bridal Stylists who all love their job, and our showroom is filled with joy, every single day!
The gowns from Bridal Collective are at the forefront of bridal design, and we love the fit, the detail, and the forward-thinking designs. We love that the gowns set trends within the bridal market, and they are always at the forefront of what our brides are looking for."
We’re living in such unexpected and crazy times with the pandemic. How have you/your store/your brides adapted to our ‘new normal’?
"Being located in Perth, Western Australia, we have been very lucky to have experienced minimal lockdowns/shutdowns from Covid-19. We also have the amazing benefit of a very spacious showroom which has allowed us to adequately allow for social distancing without many changes to how our appointments were already working.
We have had to transition to different ways of doing things and work with our brides who have had to postpone their weddings and allow for the unknown changes in travel restrictions and border closures. We give our clients the opportunity to FaceTime their friends and family to include them in their appointment."
There’s often a special moment when a bride finds “The One” – was there any particularly memorable story or experience with a bride you would like to share with us?
"It is so hard to pick just one moment as they are all so beautiful to be part of. But a recent moment stands out as it just is such an overwhelming, raw emotion. It was a beautiful moment when a bride’s best friend just started uncontrollably crying the moment the curtain was opened and she was first seen in what was to become her gown. Within moments, he had everyone crying, including the bride. It stands out as it was such a beautiful moment of friendship as he was so overwhelmed with happiness and joy at his friend getting married and just how incredibly breathtaking she was in that moment. Of course she said 'yes' to the dress, there was no way any other gown could have evoked the same emotion."

Do you have any favorite gown(s) from our Bridal Collective divisions? What do you love most about the gown(s)?
"There are so many incredible gowns from each collection, but I would have to pick Pearl from Enzoani, which has the most incredible lace which we love as it is so different. And Natsuko from Blue by Enzoani is just your classic, romantic bride."

What is a piece of advice you'd like to pass on to brides shopping for their dream dress?
"I always encourage brides to keep an open mind to try on different styles and remember to be in the moment. I think with all the access to information, pictures, social media and options, we are really spoilt for choice, and then it can be very overwhelming. It is important to just simply remember how you feel in a gown. Don’t listen to too many opinions and keep it about what you feel amazing in and stay true to your style. It really can be that simple. If it makes you feel incredible, special and beautiful, then you have found your gown."
