Retailer Spotlight: The Queen

Located in gorgeous Switzerland, The Queen is a lovely family-owned retailer carrying each of Enzoani's collections: Enzoani, Blue by Enzoani, and Beautiful. We were honored to speak with the team at The Queen and get a firsthand glimpse into the past, present, and future of this beautiful bridal boutique:

How did you get started in the bridal industry? What was your motivation or inspiration to open a bridal store?

With The Queen, our mother and daughter team has realized a long-awaited dream - a dream which they pursue with passion and love to share with other women.

Tell us more about the The Queen team! Who are the staff?

The transformation of any queen takes time, trust and a passionate team – That’s what The Queen ensures! Our team consists of professionally trained counselors and a seamstress with her own atelier/studio in her own room in the store.

What sets The Queen apart from other retailers?

At The Queen, you can let yourself go in a family atmosphere and concentrate on your goal: To be 'the queen' on this special day. It starts with the dress rehearsal: with a seamstress and a consultant, just for you, no requests are too high.

Enjoy your privacy in a royal dressing room, and you can try a glass of champagne while looking through the exquisite collections.

What are your plans for the future?

That our brand "The Queen" establishes itself and we can look forward to a successful future.

Share with us a special moment that occurred with you and a bride.

Every single moment during the fitting with a future bride is special and gives us each a proud smile on our faces. It’s wonderful when a bride who comes in not really knowing what she likes, leaves our shop and finds her perfect wedding dress with our helpful guidance.

What would you recommend a bride to do before shopping for that perfect gown?

Certainly, it is advantageous when the bride has some questions going through her mind before buying, and possibly with some ideas before she enters our shop. A few good questions to consider would be:

"When do I get married? Do I need a soft, strapless dress for the summer? Or will it be a winter fairy-tale wedding where a warm stole would be beneficial?"

"Where do I get married? Will I have a barefoot wedding on the beach? If so, the demands on the dress are unlike a traditional ceremony in the church where maybe the shoulders should be covered."

"Which areas of my body do I particularly like, and want to emphasize with my wedding dress? What would I feel most comfortable in?"

"How do I wear my hair on this special day? Would a veil or perhaps a tiara fit better?

"What jewelry should I wear? With pearl earrings, for example, individual imitation pearls can be sewn into the dress as a complement, so a beautiful and complete work of art is created."

"What shoes should I wear, and how high should the heels be? Should they be shown or rather covered by the dress?"

"How expensive can my wedding dress be? What is my budget?"

What do you enjoy about working with Enzoani?

Working with the Enzoani Europe office and sales agent is always easy and efficient!

What is your favorite Enzoani gown, and why?

Our two favorites are Ingwiller from 2016 Blue by Enzoani collection and Kristiana (pictured above) from the 2016 Enzoani collection. Both dresses have a great appeal and are a dream!
